In 2021, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg jointly advertised Bic lighters.

In 2021, social media users enthusiastically shared photographs of what appeared to be a promotional campaign for Bic lighters, featuring lifestyle entrepreneur Martha Stewart and rapper and businessman Snoop Dogg. Packaging for the Bic EZ Reach lighter alluded to Stewart's homespun image, with the phrase "Perfect for candles," as well as Snoop's love of smoking cannabis, with the line "And more."

Similar photos appeared on Facebook. The screenshot below shows just a selection of posts from 2021, demonstrating their popularity on that platform:

Those pictures were authentic and not the result of digital editing. Stewart and Snoop, whose legal name is Calvin Broadus, did jointly advertise Bic EZ Reach lighters in 2021 — the latest in a series of collaborations between the two celebrities, who are reportedly close friends.

The artwork from the packaging was authentic and could be found on Bic's own website:

A commercial featuring Stewart and Snoop played off their "odd couple" dynamic and the rapper's love of weed, with Snoop asking Stewart to "pass me that ... bowl," to which Stewart replies, "Bowl of strawberries?"

In a 2019 interview on NBC's Today show, the pair explained that their friendship began in 2008, when Stewart invited Snoop to make mashed potatoes with her on her daytime show "Martha." They bonded at the 2015 Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber, and in 2016 began co-hosting the VH1 show "Martha & Snoop's Potluck Party Challenge."

In September 2021, it was announced that "Snoop and Martha's Very Tasty Halloween," a Halloween-themed baking contest, will air on NBC's Peacock platform, on Oct. 14.

Speaking in 2019, Snoop described Stewart as being "like the big sister I never had," and declared, "I love her."
