Florence Henderson, perhaps best known for her role as Carol Brady on the show The Brady Bunch, passed away from heart failure on 24 November 2016. She was 82.

Henderson's publicist David Brokaw confirmed the news, saying the actress passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles surrounded by family  and friends on Thursday night. Kayla Pressman, Henderson's manager, added that the actress had been admitted to the hospital the night before.

Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia on the hit show, shared her condolences on Twitter:

While Florence Henderson was likely best known for her role on The Brady Bunch (a show that ran for five seasons from 1969 to 1974, spawned several spin-offs, and still airs in syndication), her career spanned more than six decades, and included dozens of memorable roles, and frequently made guest appearances on shows like "Murder She Wrote," "30 Rock," "Ellen," and "Roseanne."
