Did Trump Call Italy's President 'Mozzarella'?

Featured on Snopes today: President Trump meets with Italy's President "Mozzarella," pens controversial missive to Turkey's President Erdogan.

In the wake of U.S. President Donald Trump’s joint appearances with Italian President Sergio Mattarella on Wednesday, a number of Trump’s critics claimed on social media that he had mispronounced his counterpart’s name as “Mozzarella” — which, of course, is a variety of Italian cheese.

Curiously, although video of these events was readily available, none of the people making the above claim saw fit to share a clip documenting the gaffe. After poring over the video, it was clear to us why.
