U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed full credit for the strength of the nation’s economy, an assertion challenged by left-leaning critics who claim, to the contrary, that some of the credit belongs to his predecessor, President Barack Obama.

Some critics have noted, specifically, that more jobs were created during Obama’s final three years in office than during Trump’s first three years, a claim Snopes readers asked us to verify.
