Here are just a sampling of quotes that Albert Einstein never said — but corners of the internet want to believe he did:

  • "We are slowed-down sound and light waves, a walking bundle of frequencies tuned into the cosmos."
  • "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."

The Nobel Prize-winning theoretical physicist (1879-1955) also did not predict that the moon would crash into Earth — that rumor was promo for the 2022 film "Moonfall" — and he did not once describe love as a "universal force" in a letter to his daughter.

Below, we compiled more than a dozen fact checks about Einstein, creating a roundup of trivia about his life and scientific work.
