Snopes Is Now Embeddable

Now readers can share content from our site more easily and efficiently.

Published April 6, 2017

Here at Snopes.com, we are always looking for ways to reach more readers and expand how we present the hard work of our editorial team. We wanted to give our readers (and those covering our publication) the opportunity to share our content in more meaningful ways.

Over the past few weeks, we have worked with the company Iframely to develop custom responsive embeds for our news and fact check content. We designed custom embeddable cards and updated our web site to include an embed link. This means readers can embed our articles in the same way they embed content from YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

By clicking the embed icon (</>), depicted in the gif below, a pop-up will appear, providing you with a preview and snippet of code. Readers can copy the embed snippet and paste it on their site. If you are using an Iframely plugin with your content management system, our links will render as embeds automatically.

We encourage readers and writers to use these embeds as part of their storytelling. We also welcome feedback and ideas on how we can better serve our readership.
