*Stretching makes me a little nervous, because it's so visible and I worry it won't shrink back if I need it to. *

How old are you, Starla? Meghan? As one of the *ahem* (along with Sam) elder / senior board folks. I think I've about 30 yrs on y'all. Lemme tell ya 'bout elasticity and the inevitable decline of tone...it's a no choice done deal. It goes. It can go more quickly to hell or less quickly to hell but unless you're 'blessed' with great skin genes it's still going to hell, varying degrees available, but going etc.

Therein is the case to take very special care of your skin, especially with devices that stretch and they're stretching areas that are among the first to lose tone. When you approach menopause you also begin to lose mammary tissue, per se, reducing your breast tissue to about 100% adipose tissue (fat). Fat hasn't any 'tone', thus, you can't tone it. It sags. It sags less quickly if kept molded into shape and place for some women, that is to say, a bra might help, keeping your weight down, doing toning routines, etc.

I know I'm saying nothing you don't know already but...I'm hoping you make it a daily deal to really care for the areas where you have paraphernalia attached. Even Munchkin breasts will sag ("2 sad little baby bird fried eggs"...2 cups of your choice for anyone who can name the speaker) and sag worse, usually, if wearing devices. We've all seen little old ladies (and some men) with enormous ears that are pierced and wearing heavy jewelry. We think, wow, why would anyone with ears that HUGE get them pierced, muchless have such heavy earrings to exaggerate them? Their ears were once the size of yours, I assure you. Age and attrition just do it without fail.

I think your bod mod stuff is great...it pleases you both, as it should. Be prepared for your bod to make changes you're not too nuts about...normal and sometimes pretty damned annoying. This isn't to imply any negative context to your bod mods...on the contrary. It just might be a bit tougher for people who have more body art, and a devotion to the obvious great pleasure you find in expression via the 'canvas' you use for display...well, to age 'gracefully' and /or to accept that huge changes are inevitable.

This isn't even age related. I love you both and wanna share what I know. Don't smoke...ages the hell out of your skin, don't be a sun worshipper, ditto the hell outta...booze...you know, all the fun stuff. Damn. There's only one problem with middle age...it doesn't last.

draz* wincing just a little ol' flicker worth (like 'fixin' to do sump-um', Al Gore) *zig
