You slapped a nurse?!?! I'll have you know i have a bunch of relatives in the nursing profession, and they generally don't lie to you. She probably *was* telling the truth -- that generally, it doesn't hurt.

Well, i know Meghan's didn't hurt her, but mine certainly did!! My body piercings are a triumph of mind over matter. Or maybe it was more like, "So it's going to hurt... but look at the end result!" I guess it was just worth putting up with the pain. And trust me, i'm a big wuss. I spent the entire car trip back to the dorms after my second navel pierce going, "Owwww... dammit, this hurts... okay, mind over matter. It feels good. No, it doesn't feel good, it feels GREAT!! Yeah!! Oooohhhh yeah!! (car hits bump) Ohhhh yeahhooowwwwwwww!!!"
So really, Ceci dear, it may hurt, but the pain is worth the looks on people's faces when i tell them that my navel is pierced twice.**
