Now...re: piercings, etc...I was pondering the 70% figure and am convinced your figures apply almost everywhere. Not even close to the more dramatic offerings herein but I have pierced ears myself. I perceive 'pain' when I think about nipple piercings or shaft piercings, legitimate or not for reality. Ask anyone who deals with a chronic pain syndrome and they'll likely tell you the same though there are exceptions...where any stimulus is welcome in the absence / void of what is usual (for 'healthy' people)
Have a very long-time friend who's a dominatrix both by vocation and by avocation. She waxes enthusiasm about what 'pain' does for her and her followers and I can't EVEN relate...probably because the very word PAIN is used...very negative context for me. I know there's a vast difference between sexually liberating 'pain' or 'individual marks' pain (temporary?) and actual neurogenic pain but my ears just don't process it beyond that initial hearing of the word.
Gotta question for those of you pierced in other than the ears...how many of you got them for and how much did your piercing(s) result from a goal of greater / increased sexual response? (The one guy I know who is into sexual pain is dysfunctional due to injury and he's not in chronic physiological pain.)
