Luci-fur is being a little ass herself tonight...response to the eclipse? She's nipped at me until I've tiny bleedy places. She's enormous (Maine Coon) and fancies herself dainty, I think, when she throws herself into my lap, turns in big clunky pirouettes while slapping me in the face with that big fat furry tail before rolling over on her back...then this heart of feline grace starts kickin' like a mule.
She intimidates Mutt (an Alpha dog), responds to ALL my SO's commands, and has some kinda kinky respect for Dalton, who opines "cats are probably best fried" (but only to bait me. Big hairy dope knows cats are THE gifts of the universe). Effie was so tiny, only about 4 lbs, but Luci-fur (28 lbs) melted for her...probably because it was an all-day ordeal for Effie to give the 'Cow-Kitty' a bath and she did it daily until a few days before she went to the Rainbow Bridge (to wait for B.G.).
I've loved all my dogs and all my cats but Effie was one of a kind. Thanks, Rosa...I enjoyed the visit with the Glass Cat and her Mom...and remembering my little Sweetheart.
