It's been long enough, I guess, since the last time I passed this little bit of computer trivia along.
If you want to visit a link, but don't actually want to leave poolside to do so, RIGHT-clink on it, and choose to open the page in a new window. That way, you can switch back and forth between the new window and the message, and you don't have to worry whether the new window has frames or not. This is also a good strategy when replying to a message, because you can jump back and forth and cut and paste as necessary.
