I'm wondering where exactly I implied that all Christians were like this person? I certainly did not mean to, nor would I ever. I know many wonderful people from all sorts of faiths, and I know better than to lump any of them into one group. I know that they're not all "stupid and ignorant" and I don't think that I implied that anywhere.
Thank you for the advice and the quotations, but don't think I would ever use them because I'm not at all knowledgable about the Bible and would be in way over my head if I started throwing out 2 or 3 memorized passages. I'm also not a Christian, so I would feel rather hypocritical about saying that first passage. I normally avoid any religious debates because of my own ignorance about it. I only replied to that person's letter because it was something I knew about, and hopefully a few people learned something.
I'm sorry for any unintentional offense I may have caused. I certainly meant none.
