A fake news article reported that singer Kehlani had been found dead in her home as rumors of a suicide attempt circulated online.

Singer Kehlani was found dead in her home of an apparent suicide on 28 March 2016.

On 28 March 2016, the entertainment web site Huzlers published an article reporting that singer Kehlani had been found dead in her home of an apparent suicide:

R&B Singer Kehlani was found dead in her apartment Bathroom Monday afternoon, officials suspect it to be a suicide.  After Kehlani was discovered cheating on her boyfriend, Cleveland Cavaliers Point Guard Kyrie Erving, with her ex-boyfriend PartyNextDoor, the Internet did not take the situation too lightly. attacking Kehlani for being unfaithful, Kehlani decide to disable her Instagram and Twitter accounts. However it did not end their. Officials found Kehlani dead in her bathroom from an apparent suicide. Officials believed she ingested multiple medicine pills.

The above-quoted article was nothing more than a fake news piece published shortly after rumors began circulating that the singer had cheated on NBA star Kyrie Irving with singer PartyNextDoor, but although the article may have been written in jest, it coincided with Kehlani's reportedly alluding to a suicide attempt on Instagram:

The photograph displayed above has been deleted from Instagram, but screenshots of the message were captured by the Shade Room and other online outlets. While details about Kehlani's reported suicide attempt are still unclear, we can say with certainty that the story published by Huzlers was a piece of fiction and that the R&B singer was not found dead in her home on 28 March 2016:
