Bart the Miracle Cat

News: A cat clawed its way out of its grave after being buried for five days.

Bart the Cat was hit by a car and buried by his heartbroken owner in January 2015. Five days later, he clawed his way out of his shallow grave:

While Bart the cat did survive a terrifying ordeal, many were skeptical the ferocious feline could overcome his injuries. The cat needed to have his broken jaw repaired and an eye removed. In addition to the problem of effectively treating the cat's severe injuries, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay reported the Bart's owners also couldn't afford to bring their pet to a vet:



The owner reached out to area veterinary clinics but, unable to afford their fees, brought him to the our Animal Health Center where he is being treated for a broken jaw, open facial wounds and a ruined eye, which will have to be removed.

Bart the cat may have been buried as dead, but today he's on his way to a full recovery. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay wrote on 27 January 2015 Bart had undergone successful surgery:
