  • The Better Business Bureau is warning merchants that an old phone scam is again rearing its ugly head. This one involves calls from crooks who claim to represent the phone company.


  •   eBay Scam Artist Sent to Federal Prison   (Associated Press)
  • A scam artist who portrayed rummage sale art as masterpieces in online auctions was sentenced Tuesday to nearly four years in federal prison.


  •   Nigerian Scam Is Back   (KTRE-TV)
  • The Nigerian Scam is back . . . and the people behind the hoax may never get caught.


  •   Scam Artist Buys $230,000 of Gas at 203 Stations   (Associated Press)
  • A man was sentenced to five months in prison for using 270 counterfeit Postal Service credit cards to buy $230,000 worth of gasoline at 203 different stations.
