  • After living in his newly bought trailer for approximately a month, Luis Torres was informed he did not really own the property he paid $14,500 for, forcing him to move out.


  •   11 Arrested in Cashier's Check Scam   (Denver Post)
  • Police arrested 11 people indicted by a Colorado state grand jury on charges of passing counterfeit cashier's checks to illegally purchase automobiles.


  •   Water Department Hears Complaints   (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
  • Residents are reporting that someone claiming to be a water department employee comes to their home, tells them their water is bad and that they need a filter installed.


  •   Fuel Scam Results in Charges   (The [Douglas County] News-Review)
  • A Texaco employee was arrested for allegedly using a customer's debit card to fill up his own vehicle with fuel.


  •   Scam Artists' Ads Reappear in Paper   (WCJB-TV)
  • He faces nearly a dozen charges for scamming investors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. And some say he even cheated them out of their horses.


  •   Wal-Mart Warns of Phone Scam   (The Payson Roundup)
  • Rim country residents are receiving phone calls soliciting Wal-Mart and Sam's Club gift certificates and credit cards.
