  • Stamford police are warning residents, particularly the elderly, to beware of a scam in which men pose as water company workers, then one man distracts homeowners in the basement or kitchen while the other searches bedrooms for cash and jewelry.

  • Sunil Kumar Chandra, an onion exporter from Thane, received an email from one Rama Idris, a Nigerian national that she wanted to build a church in India from the huge fortune her husband had left her. She asked Chandra to help her by being a member of the trust.
