Origins: In 2002, Sabrina Fair Llorens Allen was a blonde five-year-old girl from Austin, Texas, who
disappeared during a visit with her non-custodial mother, Dara Marie Llorens, over the weekend of
On 13 June 2003, over a year after Sabrina's disappearance, the FBI announced that Sabrina Allen and her mother, Dara Marie Llorens, had been taken into custody by federal authorities in Mexico City, but apparently they were only under surveillance (not in custody) and managed to elude authorities and remain at large.
In September 2014, news outlets reported that Sabrina and her mother had been located by authorities in a small town southeast of Mexico City and had been returned to the U.S.:
Llorens is currently being held on an aggravated kidnapping charge in the Travis County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bond. Sabrina was taken to an undisclosed location for medical evaluation. Sabrina, who was last seen by her father when she was 4, is now 17. She and her mother were found
