Various lists of "real," unintentionally humorous statements and questions from the mouths of doctors, lawyers, schoolchildren, college students, tourists, and John Q. Public are a staple of net humor. Some of the same lists have been circulating on the Internet for years, and many of them were making regular appearances in newspapers and magazines for decades before that.
