Origins: This plea for adopters to take in 52 thoroughbred horses destined for slaughter began circulating on Facebook in January 2011. However, calls to the provided phone number now reach a recorded message which says: "Hello this is Lynn. We'd like to thank you. The horses have all been adopted. Please do not leave a message as it fills up my voice mail. Thank you and have a great day." Other Facebook postings echo the same information, that all the horses in question have all been relocated to new homes.
